Cass Almendral, a Wall Street professional started CassWorld.com in 1997 when he bought a summer house in Southamtpon. He rented summer shares to his Wall St. buddies and the women they wanted to date to help pay for the upkeep of the 8brm/7bth Farmhouse built in 1890. www.CassWorld.com was a great way to inexpensively market his summer house. It was so effective he started renting shares for other people's summer homes.
Pretty soon all the Hamptons summer share houses had CassWorld as a common link and they started organizing parties with hundreds, even thousands of people. By Summer of 1999 it led to a series of public media battles between the Southampton locals represented by Dan's Papers and the summer share house crowd led by Cassworld. Dan's Papers wanted to keep the Hamptons just the way it was right after they "Inherited it" from the Shinnecock Indians. CassWorld just wanted to party and have the locals be thankful for their business during the 16 weekends of each summer.
Along the way past the dot.com boom/bust, 9/11, the real estate boom/bust and now during this financial crisis Cass wrote about a more enduring battle, The Battle of the Sexes. Cass wrote about what men want from women. What women want from men and what they do to get it. In general the gist of his fact based dating stories was about women going after guys with the most money and guys going after women much hotter than themselves. Dispite Cass' sarcastic writing about relationships quite a large number of his friends ended up married.
After 4 years of being in a steady relationship with Hillary Flowers a singer/song writer/ LES Boutique owner. Cass is single again and plans on leading his 6,000+ Cassworld members like Alexander the Great. He wants to conquer the known world one social event at a time by always being the first one over the battle Wall with his sword, leading the charge.
Armed with his Social Networking expertise Cass plans to grow his new investor relations business. Cass's Wall Street career has spanned from investment banking to mortgage finance to real estate investing to Wall St. recruiting to doing PIPE deals at Hedge Funds. He recently started CA Consulting Inc., an Investor Relations firm which helps small public companies go from OTCBB to getting listed on the Amex or NASDAQ exchange. Besides this Cass is planning on writing his book called "Get Rich, Have Fun & Be Single in the City."
